At Himont d.o.o. we respect your privacy. This statement explains which personal data we process when you use the website www.himont.si, for what purposes, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2).

2. Personal data we process

  • Inquiries and messages (contact form or email): name and surname, email address, the content of your message and any other details you choose to provide (e.g. company, phone number).
  • Job applications: name, email address, the content of your message and the details included in your application or CV.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, time of visit and pages visited, which the server logs automatically for security and operation of the website.
  • Cookies and visitor statistics: data on how the website is used, collected only with your consent (see section 7).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to inquiries and preparing quotes – steps prior to entering into a contract or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in communicating with customers (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Processing job applications – your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and steps prior to entering into an employment contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Ensuring the security and operation of the website and protecting forms against abuse (Google reCAPTCHA) – our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Visitor statistics (Google Analytics) and displaying maps (Google Maps) – your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.

4. Processors and recipients

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their own purposes. Data may be processed by our contracted processors who provide services to us, namely our website and email hosting provider and Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) for Google Analytics, Google reCAPTCHA and Google Maps.

When Google services are used, data may also be transferred to the USA. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of protection.

5. Retention

  • Inquiries and correspondence are kept for as long as necessary to handle the matter and any further business cooperation, or as long as required by law.
  • Job applications are kept until you withdraw your consent.
  • Technical server logs are kept only as long as necessary for security purposes.
  • Statistical data is kept in accordance with the retention settings of Google Analytics.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
